DINE UNITED

At the Otsego County United Way, we know this:  when people and businesses come together to support their community, great things happen.

Whether it’s your neighborhood, hometown, school, city or county, community means something special to everyone. It takes all of us working side by side to help create the community we all want to be a part of. At OCUW, we wanted to design a program not only to educate and involve the entire community in sharing  our work but also support local restaurants at the same time.

To that goal, Otsego County United Way is launching DINE UNITED.

How does Dine United Work for the community?

We will be partnering with local restaurants on designated "give-back" dates during September 9th through October 11th.

When you dine at a participating restaurant's "give-back" date & time, a percentage of your bill will be donated to the Otsego County United Way. All donations STAY in Otsego County and will be used to fund programs that better the health, education, and financial stability of our community.

How does Dine United work for my restaurant?

Simple: you choose your designated "give-back" date during September 9th - October 11th.

Once committed, the OCUW will drop off marketing materials and promote the restaurant & designated "give-back" date. A portion of the bill goes to the OCUW which will go towards the health, education and financial stability of our Otsego County community.

We will be kicking off our marketing with our Day of Caring on September 6th. We will then celebrate our efforts with an announcement of what we achieved at the Power of Purse fundraiser on October 17th.

Along with your participation comes support from our marketing team with promotion of your restaurant and more diners in the seats! This would include promotion leading up to the chosen "give-back" day on our website, social media, and in our newsletter. This is a valuable marketing opportunity for you. We would also provide LOCAL impact information for your establishment so your guests can see how OCUW supports your community.

Donation contribution amount will be shared and promoted at Power of the Purse on Oct. 17th. Amount raised is due by October 16th. We request donations to be sent in by November 30th.
